July Members Meeting on Zoom, July 14th, 2021, 7pm
Critique Session on Zoom, submission deadline is July 7, 2021
Critic: Karen Norman, guest artist, teacher, long time OAA member
OAA’s Annual Critique Meeting will be moderated by OAA’s own Karen Norman. The critique will focus on the positive impressions from each piece of artwork with helpful suggestions for improvement. The privilege of being an artist broadens our view of the world around us. Karen hopes to bring that view to the critique, looking carefully at each piece and analyzing its strengths and weaknesses.
Karen Norman has been painting in watercolor for more than 30 years. She has taught for more years than that, starting with children at the Corcoran, then teaching in a private junior and senior high school. She taught drawing and watercolor at UMUC In College Park and teaches at the Smithsonian, the Yellow Barn, and her home studio, presently on Zoom. She had a painting selected for the upcoming 2021 National Watercolor Society show.
Please submit a digital image of one piece of your art work to Karen Norman at: email@example.com The critique session will be limited to the first 16 photos received. July 7 is the Deadline for submission (one week before the meeting).
Members will receive a ZOOM link. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info if you are not currently a member.
