OAA Zoom Meeting, May 20, 2020 at 7pm.

Speaker: Alice McBride teaches at the prestigious Chesapeake Fine Arts Studio of Anne Arundel Community College and also gives workshops.
Abigail paints landscape, figure and still life working interchangeably with brush and palette knife. Collectors, nationally and internationally, appreciate the color, mood and elegance of her work.

A consummate Cape School colorist, the draftsmanship in her work is born of an academic interest in the portrait and figure. Her work blends traditional subject matter with modern design sensibilities. She is part of a new breed of perceptual painters working from direct observation be it plein air or in the studio. Though often free of narrative, her work is grounded in the present day as a contemporary interpretation of genre painting.

All members will receive a ZOOM invite.  If you are not a member but are interested in attending or are a member but for some reason have not received the email please fill out the Contact Form on the Contact page and we will get back to you.

2020 Ranazul Show cancelled due to the Corona Virus

Our Ninth Annual show at La Galeria in Ranazul Restaurant in Fulton will be hung on May 3rd and come down May 31, 2020. There is no formal theme again this year; your work should simply be tasteful and interesting for a fine dining establishment. Ranazul provides our reception including complimentary tapas and beverages and they take 20% commission on sold work. OAA takes no commission and there is no fee to enter.  Your original pieces may be abstract, landscape or still life in any medium. Framing should be simple and clean in plain black, wood, brass or chrome frames as well as finished wrapped canvas. Please see the “Olney Art Association Application” for further information and directions.

We are accepting bin work to be sold the day of the reception only. The bin work is to be delivered along with the accepted framed pieces so they may be added to the sales list. Please see attached form to be submitted with your accepted work.
